Culeth Construction have recently completed construction of a brand-new sports hall for Fountains High School in Stretton, Burton on Trent. The project, valued at approximately £2.5 million, will add significant new facilities to the school.
The new steel-framed sports hall is located at the school’s Bitham Lane site. The development includes not only the sports hall itself, which is approximately 690 square metres, but also an attached amenity block, which incorporate changing rooms, welfare facilities, storage areas.
The development also includes a state-of-the-art 3G Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitch. Additional parking and essential site services are also part of the scheme.
The facility will not only serve Fountains High School students but will be made available for other schools and local clubs, strengthening sporting opportunities in the area. The school and project stakeholders are optimistic that the new development will be a valuable asset for the Stretton and Burton on Trent community.
The project marks a significant milestone for Fountains High School as it continues to expand its educational and sporting resources.
“We are absolutely delighted with our new sports hall” said Vicki Broad, Executive School Business Manager at the school. “It has been an amazing experience in bringing the project to fruition and the children really appreciate the result. We have 250 students from ages 11 to 19 here, and they have loved watching the build as it has evolved, seeing their previous playing field totally transformed.”
